As part of the 10th annual Catholic Intellectual Tradition Lecture Series, St. Mary's University welcomes our very own Glenn "Chip" Hughes, Ph.D., who will speak on the topic of "Art, Love and Conversion."
Hughes is professor of philosophy and has been a member of our University community since 1990 after teaching at Simmons College in Boston. He is the author or editor of six books of philosophy, and his most recently authored book is A More Beautiful Question: The Spiritual in Poetry and Art(U. Missouri Press, 2011). He has also published many philosophical articles and book chapters. His poetry has appeared in national journals since 1976, and in two chapbooks. He has been the recipient of a Fulbright research grant and is currently writing a book on human dignity and degradation.
