Dear Friends,

Lent is that 40 day period we, as Christians/Catholics, prepare for Easter. I’ll be honest with you, as a kid, I wasn’t very fond of it. Lent, for many of us, means we begin on Ash Wednesday by donning ashes and listening to the chilling admonition: “Remember that you are dust and into dust, you shall return!” Then, traditionally, we focus on “giving something up.” We give up things such as chocolate, the adult beverage of our choice (for the brave!), or we do something to improve our lives, such as attentiveness to exercise and diet. But what does all this have to do with Easter? How can our participation in Lent, especially this year in the midst of the coronavirus, help us experience the fullness of life that Jesus is offering each of us?

Join us for a chat via Zoom about Lent and Easter!
