It's difficult to find success in any artistic endeavor, with women often finding additional gender barriers in their path. Learn about the struggles of three dynamic female artists of the first half of the 20th century: Dorothy Fields (music), Dorothy Parker (literature), and Elisabeth Hauptmann (theatre). A panel of St. Mary's faculty will lead a discussion on the challenges faced by women in the arts.

Panel:
Kathleen Maloney, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Chair, English Language and Literature
Alicia Tait, D.M.A., Beirne Director, Center for Catholic Studies
George Kendall, M.F.A., Instructor of Drama, English Language and Literature

This event is part of Women’s History Month 2020.
